When You Miss Who You Used to Be

There are days I look in the mirror and barely recognize who's staring back.

Not because of age or weight or wear—but because I've changed.

Some of it was necessary.
Some of it was survival.
Some of it was life just… shifting.

And part of me mourns the version of me that used to laugh quicker. Who prayed with more fire. Who dreamed without so many filters of logic or fear.

Maybe you've felt that too.

Maybe you miss the person you were before the grief. Before the burnout. Before the disappointment that didn't fully heal.

And maybe, like me, you wonder: Is that version of me gone forever?

Here's what I'm learning—

God doesn't restore you by rewinding time. He does it by walking with you into something new.

You may not go back to who you were. But you're not meant to.

You're growing. Even if it's quiet. Even if it looks like loss.

Because what feels like falling apart is often just holy rearranging.

He's not done. You're not lost. You're becoming.

Much Love & Blessings,

Ramzi

Real Life Tips

Family Corner – You Don't Have to Be the Old "You"

You don't have to be the old "you" to be a good parent or partner. Who you are right now—quieter, more careful, differently shaped by life—is still worthy of love, presence, and grace. Your family needs this version of you, not the one you used to be.

Relationship Insight – Let People Know Who You're Becoming

The ones who matter will grow with you. You don't have to explain every shift or defend your evolution. Just let it bloom. Some relationships will deepen because of your growth; others may fade—and that's part of the holy rearranging too.

Mental Health Minute – Don't Let Nostalgia Trick You

Don't let nostalgia trick you into thinking the past was perfect or that change equals loss. God is still shaping your identity—right here in this moment. The you that's emerging has wisdom the old you never possessed.

Financial Wisdom – Start From Where You Are

Maybe your income, lifestyle, or energy look different than they used to. That's okay. Start from where you are, not where you were. Peace comes with alignment to your current season, not comparison to your former self.

Physical Health – Movement Is Still Worship

If your strength or stamina isn't what it used to be—offer what you can today. Your body has carried you through everything that's shaped you. Movement is still worship. Rest is still sacred. Honor where you are now.

🌿 CLOSING THOUGHT

"You're not going backward. You're not going forward. You're going deeper."

P.S. That person you used to be served their purpose beautifully. But God isn't finished writing your story. Trust the process of becoming—even when it feels like unbecoming first.
