When You Keep Changing Your Mind

I laughed the other day looking through my notes app. A long list of ideas, plans, and goals that have all changed. Some completely. Some just slightly. And a few I barely even remember writing down.

I used to feel frustrated by that. I thought changing my mind meant I was inconsistent or indecisive. That maybe I was missing God's direction or not hearing Him clearly enough.

But as I have gotten older, I have learned that life is not meant to be lived in straight lines. It bends, pauses, and shifts. And sometimes, what we call "changing our mind" is actually God changing our direction.

Proverbs 16:9 says, "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps."

That verse does not shame us for planning. It reminds us that our steps, even the ones that feel like detours, are still being guided.

You do not have to have everything figured out.

You can pivot. You can try, pause, learn, and begin again. God does not require perfection before progress. He simply asks for willingness.

And maybe the constant reworking of your plans is not failure at all. Maybe it is proof that your heart is still sensitive to His leading. That you are listening. That you are open to being redirected when He speaks.

So if you are unsure right now, give yourself grace. You can change directions and still be right where you are supposed to be.

God is not confused by your uncertainty. He is using it to lead you somewhere good.

Much Love & Blessings,

Ramzi

The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in His way.

Where This Meets Real Life

Family Corner

If you feel torn between decisions or directions, bring your family into prayer about it. Remind one another that God's plan often unfolds one small step at a time. Let your children see that changing course does not mean you failed, it means you are following God's leading.

Relationship Insight

When you change your mind about something that affects others, communicate openly and humbly. It is okay to say, "I thought this was right, but I'm realizing God might be leading differently." Honesty about your process builds trust and shows others what it looks like to follow God in real time.

Mental Health Minute

Give yourself permission to start again. Write down what still matters most to you and let go of the rest. Not every plan you once made still fits who you are becoming. God's peace will settle where His purpose is leading, and that peace is often your confirmation.

Financial Wisdom

If your financial goals have shifted, pray over them again. Adjust your budget or timeline without shame. Maybe the savings goal changed. Maybe the timeline stretched. God's provision is flexible, and His timing always aligns with His plan, even when it looks different than you expected.

Physical Health

You can restart any day. If you abandoned a routine or healthy habit, begin again without guilt. The same grace that covers your soul covers your body too. Changing your approach to health is not failure, it is learning what works for the season you are in now.

🌿 CLOSING THOUGHT

"God's plan for you is not fragile. It can handle your uncertainty."

P.S. That wallpaper download below is for those moments when you wonder if you have made too many wrong turns. You haven't. Every redirect, every pivot, every change of heart can still be part of the path God is establishing for you.
