Outsmart college costs

Ready for next semester? June is a key time to assess how you’ll cover college costs. And considering federal aid often isn’t enough, you might have to consider private student loans.

You’re just in time, though—most schools recommend applying about two months before tuition is due. By now, colleges start sending final cost-of-attendance letters, revealing how much you’ll need to bridge the gap.

Understanding your options now can help ensure you’re prepared and avoid last-minute stress. View Money’s best student loans list to find lenders with low rates and easy online application.

When Rest Feels Unproductive

I sat down for five quiet minutes. No phone. No background noise. No multitasking. Just stillness.

And almost instantly... I felt guilty.

Shouldn't I be doing something right now?
Shouldn't I be folding laundry, replying to that message, making a list?

It was like my worth started arguing with my pause. And that's when I realized something:

I don't know how to rest without defending it.

Maybe you've felt that too. We say we want rest, but when we finally get a moment to slow down, our inner critic kicks in. Because we've been conditioned to believe that rest is laziness. That slowing down means falling behind. That peace is only earned once the checklist is cleared.

But Jesus never said, "Come to Me, all who've finished everything and have it all together."

He said, "Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

Not guilt. Not performance pressure. Just... rest.

Not because you've earned it—but because you need it.

And sometimes, the most spiritual thing you can do is take a nap. Or go on a walk. Or sit in silence with no agenda.

You don't have to earn rest to deserve it. Because you were never created to be all things to everyone. You were created to be with the One who already is.

So this Sunday, breathe deep. You're allowed to stop.

And God will still be at work—even when you're not.

Much Love & Blessings,

Ramzi

Real Life Tips

Family Corner – The Laundry Can Wait

Rest isn't earned by cleaning the house top to bottom. Let today be about being present, not perfect. Your family needs your peace more than they need your productivity.

Relationship Insight – You Don't Always Have to Be "On"

Rest also means releasing the need to fix every tension. Sometimes peace grows when you say less and simply sit with someone. Your presence is more powerful than your performance.

Mental Health Minute – Let Rest Feel Unfamiliar

Even in the grind, you need time to breathe. Rest isn't laziness—it's where clarity often begins. Trust that God honors balance, not burnout. Sometimes the best financial decision is stepping back to gain perspective.

Financial Wisdom – Rest Isn't Irresponsible

The budget wasn't perfect this week. Maybe you spent more than you hoped or forgot to track something. Instead of spiraling in shame, start fresh. God's grace covers your financial fumbles too.

Physical Health – Your Body Speaks When You Don't Listen

That heaviness? That fatigue? It's not laziness. It's your soul asking for care. Rest is productive in ways hustle never can be. Honor what your body is telling you.
