When Life Feels Out of Control
I was driving recently when the rain started to pour harder than I expected. The wipers were moving at full speed, but it felt like they could not keep up. The lights of oncoming cars blurred across the windshield, and my tires slipped slightly on the wet pavement.
For those few minutes, my heart raced. My grip on the wheel tightened. My thoughts narrowed into one single desire: just make it through this storm.
Then, as quickly as it came, the rain began to calm. The road cleared. My hands loosened their grip, and I felt my breathing return to normal.
That drive reminded me how quickly life can feel out of control.
We make our plans. We prepare as best we can. We pray. But then the storm comes harder than we expected.
A diagnosis. A job loss. A broken relationship. A sudden change that takes us off guard.
And in those moments, our instinct is to hold tighter. To try harder. To fix what cannot be fixed.
But here is what I keep learning: nothing is ever out of God's control.
Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God."
Being still does not mean pretending the storm is not real. It means remembering who is in charge of it. It means loosening your grip on what you cannot change and trusting that the One who calms the wind and the waves is still holding your life steady.
The storms do not get the final word. The God who commands them does.
So if life feels out of control right now, do not confuse your storm with His absence. He has not let go of you. He never will.
Much Love & Blessings,
Ramzi

Where This Meets Real Life
Family Corner
When the household feels chaotic…kids fighting, schedules colliding, responsibilities piling high…pause for a moment of stillness. Close your eyes and whisper, "God, bring peace into this space." Even five seconds of surrender can shift the atmosphere.
Relationship Insight
When tension rises with someone close to you, resist the urge to control their response. Instead, ask God to guard your words and soften your tone. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is respond with gentleness when everything in you wants to push back.
Mental Health Minute
Anxious thoughts spiral quickly when life feels unsteady. This week, practice a reset by praying, "God, You are in control when I am not." Say it slowly. Repeat it as many times as you need. Let it become a shield against fear.
Financial Wisdom
Unexpected expenses or uncertainty can shake your sense of stability. Instead of trying to solve everything at once, take one faithful step. Pay what you can. Save what you can. And pray over every decision: "Lord, provide as You always have." He knows your needs before you even ask.
Physical Health
When your body feels weak or you face a setback, it is tempting to focus on what you cannot control. Instead, focus on what you can. Eat with gratitude. Rest when needed. Move your body as you are able. Each small act of care is a declaration of trust that He is holding the rest.
🌿 CLOSING THOUGHT
"Your storm is real, but God's authority over it is greater."
