When Everyone Else Seems Fine
I scrolled through my feed this morning and felt it again.
That quiet ache.
Everyone else seemed to be starting something. Announcing something. Celebrating something. Their lives looked full, purposeful, moving forward with clarity and momentum.
And there I was, sitting on the couch with my coffee, feeling none of that.
Not energized. Not inspired. Just tired. Just aware of how ordinary and heavy my own life felt in comparison.
Maybe you have felt that too. Like you are the only one struggling while everyone else has it together. Like joy is everywhere except in your own heart. Like purpose found everyone but you.
But here is what I am learning. What we see is rarely the whole story.
The lives that look perfect are often hiding their own struggles. The smiles in the photos do not always match what is happening behind closed doors. And the enemy loves to use comparison to convince us we are alone in our pain.
But you are not alone.
Jesus sits with you in this very moment. Not frustrated by your lack of energy. Not disappointed by your heaviness. Just present. Steady. Holding space for exactly how you feel.
Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Close. Not distant. Not waiting for you to pull yourself together first. Close.
It is okay to feel down. You are human. You are allowed to have days, even weeks, where joy feels far away and purpose feels unclear. God is not surprised by your struggle. He is moved by it.
The hardest part is turning to Him when you feel this way. When you are down, the last thing you want to do is pray. But that is exactly when you need it most.
You do not need eloquent words. A whisper is enough. "God, I am tired. I am struggling. I need You." That prayer is heard. That prayer matters.
What you see is not always the way things are. You may not physically see Him sitting next to you, but He is there. Listening. Loving. Holding your heart with care you cannot yet comprehend.
Do you believe He has a plan for you? Really believe? Because He does. Intricately designed. Tailored for you. Not dependent on how you feel today or how far behind you think you are.
Your life does not have to be perfect to be purposeful. Your emotions do not have to be stable to be held. And your struggle does not disqualify you from His presence.
Today, let Him restore you. One small moment at a time.
Much Love & Blessings,
Ramzi

Where This Meets Real Life:
In Your Heart
If you feel like everyone else is thriving while you are barely surviving, tell God honestly. He can handle your frustration, your sadness, your confusion. Unload it all. Then ask Him to fill that void with His peace. Even if you do not feel it immediately, trust that He is working.
In Your Relationships
Reach out to someone you trust and tell them you are struggling. You do not have to carry this alone. Sometimes just saying the words out loud breaks the power of the lie that you are the only one feeling this way. Others are struggling too. Connection helps us remember that.
In Your Mind
When comparison starts stealing your peace, pause and redirect. Say out loud, "What I see online is not the whole story. God's plan for me is different, and that is okay." Write it down if you need to. Your mind needs to hear truth more than it needs to scroll through other people's lives.
In Your Finances
If money stress is part of what is weighing you down, bring it to God specifically. Tell Him what you are worried about. Ask for provision and wisdom. Then take one small faithful step. Open the bill. Make the budget. Cancel one unnecessary expense. Small obedience breaks the paralysis of overwhelm.
In Your Physical Health
Your body reflects what your soul is carrying. If you feel exhausted, honor that. Rest is not lazy. It is necessary. Go for a short walk if you can. Drink water. Eat something nourishing. Get outside for five minutes. Small acts of care remind your body that you are still here, still trying, still loved.

Closing thoughts…
"The lives that look perfect are often hiding struggles you cannot see. You are not the only one carrying something heavy."
P.S. If you are reading this while feeling like you are the only one not happy, not energized, not purposeful, please know: you are not alone. Jesus is sitting with you right now. And your story is not over. One small moment at a time, He will restore you.
…and now lets end in prayer!🙏
Lord,
I am tired of pretending I am fine when I am not. I am tired of comparing my behind-the-scenes to everyone else's highlight reel.
Thank You for being close when my heart feels broken. Thank You for not requiring me to have it all together before I come to You.
Meet me in this heaviness. Restore what feels depleted. Remind me that I am not alone, even when it feels that way.
Help me take one small step forward today, trusting that You are with me.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

🎥 A QUIET SPACE WITH GOD
I also wanted to share something new I created for moments when your soul needs stillness. I recently made a one hour quiet time video on YouTube designed to be played softly in the background as you spend time with God.
You can play it on your TV, computer, or phone while you read Scripture, pray, journal, reset from anxiety, or even as you fall asleep. There is no talking. Just calm, peaceful space to breathe and be still before Him.
