What Are You Speaking Over Yourself?

"You'll never get it right. You're falling behind. You're too much. You're not enough."

Ever caught yourself thinking one of those thoughts? Yeah, me too.

Some lies are loud—others sound just like our own voice. But either way, they stick. And over time, they shape how we walk through our days: second-guessing decisions, shrinking back in conversations, feeling unworthy before we even try.

It's easy to spot a lie in the headlines. It's harder to notice the one that's been running on repeat in your head for years.

But here's the truth: God doesn't speak to you like that.

He doesn't shame. He doesn't condemn. He doesn't call you broken or behind or "too far gone." He calls you chosen. Loved. Redeemed. Worthy. Enough- because He is.

We don't always realize it, but we preach to ourselves all day long. In the mirror. In traffic. In meetings. In the quiet moments when no one's watching.

If we're not intentional, the voice we hear the most isn't God's - it's fear, shame, comparison, or self-doubt.

But God didn't design us to live on a loop of defeat. He gave us His Word- alive, active, sharper than any lie we've ever absorbed.

When we speak His truth over ourselves - over our anxious thoughts, our hurting hearts, our worn-out bodies - it doesn't just inspire us. It renews us.

And one day, without even realizing it, that quiet affirmation becomes louder than the doubt. Your inner dialogue starts to sound a lot more like grace. Like hope. Like Him.

Much Love & Blessings,

Ramzi

What's Inspiring Me This Week…

📧 Newsletter I’m Loving:

Future Tools Newsletter - I’ve been subscribed to Future Tools for a while now, and honestly, it’s one of the few newsletters I consistently read. It’s packed with AI and tech updates, but in a way that’s actually useful—not overwhelming.

Each week, I usually find a new tool or idea that makes my life a little simpler (or at least makes me feel like I’m keeping up with everything that’s changing out there).

If you’re even slightly curious about the future of tech—or just want something smarter in your inbox—it’s a solid one.

Real Life Tips

Family Corner

You forgot the thing. Lost your temper. Didn't get to the laundry again. Instead of reliving the failure, speak this: "God's grace covers my home- and my mistakes. Today is a new start." Let your kids or spouse hear that too. You're modeling how to live truth out loud.

Relationship Insight

When insecurity creeps in- "They're pulling away," "I'm too much," "I'm always the one giving" -pause. Speak life over the connection: "I am loved by God, and I'm showing up with grace today." Healthy relationships grow from rooted identities, not fragile approval.

Mental Health Minute

When your thoughts spiral, pause and name what's happening. Then say: "God hasn't given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind." Write it down. Say it aloud. Rewire the pattern, one truth at a time.

Financial Wisdom

Maybe money is tight or decisions feel heavy. Shame and scarcity will shout. But truth is steadier: "God provides. I can steward today with peace, not panic." Repeat it until peace follows.

Physical Health

If you're discouraged by your body or progress, try this: "I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I will move and rest with purpose, not punishment." Progress is holy when it's partnered with grace.
