That 10-Second Airport Conversation That Changed Everything
Why your small acts of faithfulness matter more than you think
D E V O T I O N A L
When You Wonder If It Even Matters
I was walking through the airport—tired, slightly annoyed that my gate had changed again, and already counting down the minutes to boarding.
I spotted him sitting alone near one of the unused gates. Older. Quiet. A little hunched over. Just sipping coffee from a small, crinkled cup. He looked out of place—not because of how he looked, but because no one else seemed to notice him at all.
I passed him once. Then again, after doubling back for snacks. And on the third pass, I felt it—that quiet nudge in my spirit.
Say something.
I didn't have a script. I wasn't feeling particularly "on mission." I just stopped and said, "That coffee's gotta be better than the stuff near my gate."
He chuckled. Looked up.
"It's not the coffee," he said, "It's being seen. That's what makes it good."
That stayed with me.
It was a moment. Ten seconds, maybe. No prayer. No deep talk. But it reminded me:
Sometimes the smallest thing is the most important thing.
The unnoticed kindness. The simple acknowledgment. The faithfulness that feels too small to matter.
But it does. Because God sees it. He uses it. And in a world full of noise, showing up with presence is rare—and holy.
So if you're wondering this week if your faithfulness matters…
It does. It's not wasted. And it's never unseen.
Much Love & Midweek Strength,
Ramzi

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
🙏 MIDWEEK PRAYER
Lord,
Sometimes I wonder if any of this matters.
The quiet faithfulness. The unnoticed kindness. The steady trying.
Remind me that You see it all.
Encourage my heart when I feel unseen.
Help me keep showing up, not for applause—but because You're worth it.
Let my small acts of love plant something eternal.
In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏

WHERE THIS MEETS REAL LIFE
You don't have to preach a sermon or perform a miracle. Sometimes the most kingdom-shifting thing you'll do this week is smile at someone who feels invisible.
This week, notice the moments that seem forgettable:
Family Corner – The Power of Being Present
Put down your phone during dinner conversation. Ask your spouse or kids: "What was the best part of your day?" Then actually listen. Sometimes presence is the most powerful gift we can give the people we love most.
Relationship Insight – See the Overlooked
That coworker who eats lunch alone. The neighbor who waves from their window. The cashier who looks tired. A simple "How are you doing today?" with genuine interest can shift someone's entire week.
Mental Health Minute – Your Faithfulness Counts
When you feel like you're not making a difference, remember: God doesn't measure impact the way the world does. Your consistency matters. Your kindness counts. Your showing up—even on hard days—is holy work.
Financial Wisdom – Generosity in Small Moments
You don't need extra money to be generous. Pay for someone's coffee. Leave an encouraging note for your server. Tip a little extra when you can. Small acts of financial kindness create ripples you'll never see.
🌿 CLOSING THOUGHT
"God is not asking for more impressive. He's asking for more present."
P.S. Sometimes the most important conversations happen with strangers in airports, grocery stores, and coffee shops. Stay open to those divine interruptions—they might matter more than you think.
