Stop Waiting For Monday
That step onto the scale was torturous.
"That's it," I proclaimed, "today's the day!"
I knew I had veered off track with my diet, but this?! The number staring back at me felt like a punch to the gut. I felt a little sting in my tear duct at that one. How did it get to this point?
And then came the excuses. It was only a cookie...or three. I'll start on Monday. I'll start next Monday. Maybe after the holidays. Maybe after my birthday. Maybe when things calm down.
Sound familiar?
I'm sure many of you have heard the statement, "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions." And no, I'm not saying if you gorged on wings last night that you found your new home in eternal fire. But we all have areas of struggle we need to change sooner than later.
Whether it's a diet, an addiction, a bad relationship, a habit we know is hurting us. It starts off innocently enough, then spirals out of control before you know it. A little excuse here. Some temporary happiness there. Then you find yourself staring in the mirror disgusted with the unhealthy lifestyle you chose.
Here's what I've learned the hard way: Intention is good, but stop waiting for Monday.
Today is better. Right now is better. This moment, even if it's messy and imperfect, is better than another week of "I'll start soon."
We put things off because we want the conditions to be perfect. We want to feel motivated. We want to have a flawless plan. But you know what? That perfect moment never comes. And while we wait for it, the problem gets bigger.
James 4:17 says it plainly: "So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin."
That's not meant to condemn you. It's meant to wake you up. You already know what needs to change. The question is: when will you actually do something about it?
Ask for strength to follow through! This is not something you have to muscle through alone. Move past good intentions to action by asking the Holy Spirit to motivate you! Seriously. Pray right now: "God, I need Your help. I can't do this on my own. Give me the strength to start today."
And listen, don't beat yourself up for not being perfect. There's only One who's accomplished that already by overcoming the world. And He's right beside you helping you to overcome your own battles.
Stop waiting for Monday. Start today. Even if it's small. Even if it's messy. Just start.
Much Love & Blessings,
Ramzi

Where This Meets Real Life:
In Your Health
Stop saying "I'll start Monday." Start today. One healthy meal. One walk around the block. One glass of water instead of soda (and no, not giving up coffee…ever). Small action beats big intentions every single time. Ask God to help you honor the body He gave you, starting right now.
In Your Relationships
If you know there's a conversation you need to have, a boundary you need to set, or an apology you need to make, stop putting it off. The longer you wait, the harder it gets. Send that text today. Make that call today. Take one honest step toward healing.
In Your Mind
If you know you need help, therapy, counseling, accountability…stop waiting for the "right time." There is no perfect moment to ask for help. There's only now. Make the call. Send the email. Tell someone you trust. Today.
In Your Finances
If you know your spending is out of control, or you're avoiding looking at your accounts, face it today. Open that bill. Look at the balance. Make one small change. God can't bless what you refuse to acknowledge. Be honest about where you are, then ask for His help moving forward.
In Your Habits
Whatever that thing is that you keep saying you'll quit "soon" …the drinking, the scrolling, the complaining, the gossiping…stop waiting for some magical motivation. It won't come. Just decide today: with God's help, I'm done. Then take the first step. Delete the app. Tell someone. Change the pattern. Do something different.

Closing thoughts…
"The Holy Spirit doesn't wait for your perfect moment. He meets you in your messy decision to finally start."
P.S. If you're reading this and you know exactly what needs to change, don't close this email and keep waiting. Pray right now. Take one action today. God is ready to help you the moment you stop making excuses and start taking steps.
…and now lets end in prayer!🙏
Lord,
I've been making excuses for too long. I know what needs to change, but I keep putting it off.
Give me the strength to start today. Not Monday. Not next week. Today.
Help me take one honest step forward, even if it's small.
I can't do this alone. I need Your Holy Spirit to motivate me when my own willpower runs out. Thank You for not giving up on me.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
