Don't Rush What God Is Growing

The other morning I noticed a small plant on our kitchen windowsill that had finally started to bloom. It had been sitting there for weeks. The same soil, the same sunlight, the same water. And for the longest time, nothing happened.

I almost threw it away once, convinced it was never going to grow. But that morning, I saw the tiniest green sprout pushing through the dirt. It was not much, but it was enough to remind me that growth doesn't stop just because we can't see it.

God works that way too.

There are seasons when everything feels still. When the prayers feel unanswered, the progress feels slow, and it seems like nothing is changing. But often, God is working beneath the surface, forming roots before the bloom.

Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."

It is hard not to rush the process. We want results, clarity, and quick answers. But spiritual growth is not instant. God shapes us in the waiting, in the quiet, unseen spaces where faith has to stretch and trust has to take root.

So if you have been wondering why things are taking so long, do not give up. The work God is doing in you is growing something that will last. And one day, when the time is right, you will see what He has been preparing all along.

Much Love & Blessings,

Ramzi

Where This Meets Real Life

Family Corner

Be patient with your own process and with the people you love. Sometimes the growth you are praying for in your family is happening quietly. That child who struggles with anger is learning. That spouse who is working on their patience is changing. You cannot see the roots forming, but God can.

Relationship Insight

Give grace to others who are still learning and changing. God's timeline for them may not look like yours, but His hand is still at work. The friend who keeps making the same mistakes is not hopeless. They are in process. Your patience with them mirrors God's patience with you.

Mental Health Minute

When you start to question if you are moving forward, write down one thing that has changed since last year. You will see that slow progress is still progress. Maybe you pray more consistently. Maybe you catch negative thoughts faster. Maybe you forgive more quickly. Those are blooms from roots you could not see growing.

Financial Wisdom

Financial growth and wisdom take time too. Every small, consistent step you take is building stability. Pray for patience and trust that God is guiding your stewardship. The budget you stick to this month, the debt you chip away at slowly, the savings that grow by small amounts. These are not failures because they are slow. They are faithfulness.

Physical Health

Healing, whether emotional, physical, or spiritual, rarely happens overnight. Be gentle with yourself. God is just as present in the process as He is in the breakthrough. The strength you are building, the habits you are forming, the rest you are finally allowing yourself. These things grow slowly because they need deep roots to last.

🌿 CLOSING THOUGHT

"What looks like delay to you might be depth-building to God."

P.S. If you feel discouraged by how slowly things seem to be changing, remember that plant on the windowsill. For weeks it looked dead. But beneath the surface, roots were forming. God is doing the same work in you. Trust the process.
