Awakened

I could hardly know why God would choose this morning to the countless others I spent wasting away.

Sitting in the quiet of the dark early morning, with nothing but my thoughts and enjoying my cup of coffee, it happened….a moment where God truly woke me up from my spiritual slumber. Contemplation of my own salvation had always been a passing thought in the past, but rarely was it enough for me to act on it. But this cold winter morning years back would be a defining moment for my soul.

Out of nowhere, I felt a rush of coldness and the deepest, darkest, loneliest state of isolation that I felt was a place I could never escape.

It was scary. It made me think...is this what Hell might truly feel like? True isolation from God? My past thoughts of Hell never encompassed what I felt in that one moment. To be separated from God forever…what a cold miserable feeling. I felt like God used that glimpse to wake me up from my stupid complacency.

God places us at these crossroads every so often, and whether we realize it or not, we make a choice which way we want to go. Do I stay in comfy darkness or do I get up and follow Him further down the road to see what’s in that light. That’s why I chose this page to share God’s love…and to share it with you. That awakening moment, now replaced with coffee and spending time with my Father in Heaven reading His words of life.

As you face your own crossroads, embrace and accept God’s love for you and allow yourself to just get up and go. You have been given another chance...take it. He longs to forgive. He understands our weaknesses. That’s why he’s constantly pursuing us to come to Him, to just spend time together and share in His love. Don’t relinquish the opportunity. The God of second chances….I say the God of immeasurable opportunities. How awesome is He!

'...for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”' ~Ephesians 5:14

Dear Ramzi,
I have had your emails coming for awhile, really enjoyed the pictures and quotes but the isolation and deepest loneliness has hit rock bottom( like you described for yourself)..
Where years ago I could have purchased all of your prints, now I can only copy and paste and hopefully use them as Wallpapers on my phone- to keep me encouraged and to try to be motivated to have gratitude, to try each day. You’ve been such blessing to reach out to strangers, and I think Jesus used your “hand” to pull me out of the pit I’ve been in for 15 years- just a total collapse from successful to reclusive. Deepest sincerest appropriate hugs and thank you for this website and for your emails. I pray your life is turned around. I pray mine will turn around. Thank you so much for your encouragement. ♥️🙏
